Objectives of Advanced Materials Research Organization (AMRO)

When we look around us, we are surrounded by many things. There may be buildings, desks, chairs, books, notebooks, writing materials, cell phones, computers, televisions, and many more. These things are not mere substances, but are made of materials that have been processed for our use.

A substance becomes a material only when they are used by us humans. This material gives the substance its "form" and "function".

On the other hand, the technology we use consists of “mechanisms (operating principles)” and “materials''. In order to materialize the illusion created by virtual reality (called materialization), materials with the required functions are necessary in any case. It can be said that technology cannot be realized without materials. Computers and mobile phones are both made using silicon, which is a material that is processed and made into the brain called LSI (Large-Scale Integrated Circuit). Quantum computers, which are currently being researched, will only become a reality if materials are available to materialize this concept. Materials form the basis of all technologies and industries.
